The growth seen in recent editions reflects the scale this event has reached. In 2023, all 13,000 available places sold out; in 2024, the figure rose to 14,000; and in 2025, the record was broken again with 15,000 participants. This year, 17,000 places were made available, and all have sold out, representing 2,000 more than in the previous edition and a 30% increase in three years.

The race will start at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 8, covering an urban 6.5-kilometer route that will begin at the extension of Tenor Fleta and finish at the Expo venue. Women aged 8 and over will be able to take part, completing the course either running or walking, according to their preferences and fitness levels.

Zaragoza City Council’s Sports Councillor, Félix Brocate, highlighted the event’s impact in promoting health and preventing disease. "I believe it is an extraordinary opportunity to raise awareness of the work carried out by different organizations fighting women’s cancer. It is essential to strive for a healthy life, take physical exercise and, through this, fight decisively against the possibility of developing cancer or other diseases," the councillor said.

CELEBRATION OF SPORT AND HEALTH

The Women’s Race combines the promotion of physical activity and healthy habits with a festive atmosphere, open to women of all ages and fitness levels. Taking part in groups, with friends or family members, is also one of the defining features of this event, which aims to encourage more women to take up sport.

The event will begin before the race with the Runners’ Fair, which will be held at the Conference Centre on November 6 and 7. Participants will be able to collect their race bib, official T-shirt and runner’s bag there. The fair will also feature a free program of fitness and wellness activities, open to all levels and audiences, as well as spaces for partner brands and social projects linked to the race. Planned activities include PilatesFit, Core and Mobility, Zumba Fitness, STRONG Nation and CIRCL Mobility sessions.

Activities and talks related to women’s health will also be held, including the presentation 'Menopause and movement: strengthen your body for this stage', given by Aoife McGale and Paula Floristán on Saturday, November 7.

SOLIDARITY AND SOCIAL COMMITMENT

Alongside its sporting dimension, the Women’s Race maintains its commitment to various social causes, particularly the fight against cancer, inclusion and the prevention of gender-based violence.

In Zaragoza, the race collaborates with AMAC-GEMA through 100% charitable registrations, with all proceeds going to this association for women affected by genital and breast cancer. The Federico Ozanam Foundation is also taking part and will receive 25 race bibs for women at risk of social exclusion, as will the patient associations AECMM and the Zaragoza branch of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

The 'Somos Más' project, made up of women survivors of gender-based violence, will be present to raise awareness of its support and psychological assistance work. In addition, all participants will wear the number 016 on their race bibs, the helpline for victims of gender-based violence, which leaves no trace on telephone bills.
