JULIETA VENEGAS: MOVING AUDIENCES WITH COMPOSURE
Opening a music festival always creates extra pressure for the artist entrusted with that task. However, the quality and experience of the performer in question always have a great deal to do with how such situations unfold. It is what the entertainment world calls "stagecraft." And Julieta Venegas, seasoned by countless battles, has that in abundance.
Her performance at Vive Latino on Friday was clear proof of that. The Mexican singer got the event underway on the Ámbar Stage with a concert in which emotion filled the air, while Julieta Venegas displayed, as she always does, her trademark composure. The anthems "Limón y sal," "Andar conmigo" and "Me voy" were sung at the top of their lungs by an audience that endured the scorching heat beating down on Zaragoza at that time of afternoon.

AMAIA: AN ANGELIC VOICE AND UNMATCHED SPONTANEITY
The average age of those in the front rows at the Ámbar Stage dropped at 8 p.m. However, claiming that only young people watched Amaia's concert on Friday would be a blatant lie. The singer from Navarre, who captivated Spain nearly 10 years ago by winning the most famous televised music competition, has continued to grow as an artist and attract more and more followers throughout her career.
Her unmistakably sweet, almost angelic voice, accompanied by unmatched naturalness, made an appearance at Vive Latino to the delight of those present. "Hello, Zaragoza! How jealous I am of you and your fans. If you have a spare one, throw it onto the stage," Amaia said as she introduced herself at the festival, as spontaneous as ever. The artist left out none of the songs that propelled her to stardom, all of which were sung along to by everyone from teenagers to adults.
LOQUILLO: ROCK THAT NEVER BURNS OUT
The rockers' hour arrived when the sun disappeared and the moon appeared in the sky. The indefatigable José María Sanz once again demonstrated the keys to Loquillo's success: overwhelming energy and an inexplicable ability to keep moving his most loyal audience. Nostalgia took over Vive Latino with the classics everyone knows, heard from several kilometers away: "Feo, fuerte y formal," "El rompeolas" and "Rey del glam."

The Barcelona-born artist arrived in Zaragoza immersed in his "Corazones legendarios" tour, which is taking him across Spain, making stop after stop with his followers by his side. El Loco moved the audience and showed that there is still plenty of fuel left in his tank. At least enough for another 48 years of his career.
