The presentation will take place at the Patio de la Infanta at Fundación Ibercaja as part of the "Book Tuesdays" series, starting at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, although registration is required on the Ibercaja website. "Hija del cielo" is Rodrigo Cortés' third novel. He combines his film career with writing and appearances on well-known cultural podcasts.
The story takes place in Gabaón, a village perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea, which is also home to a school, an orphanage and a monastery. In this singular setting, 61 nuns, three priests and a series of characters whose lives intersect amid increasingly strange circumstances coexist.
A FILM DIRECTOR WITH AN EXTENSIVE LITERARY CAREER
Although Rodrigo Cortés is best known for his work as a film director, with titles such as "Buried," "Luces rojas" and "El amor en su lugar," his literary career began more than a decade ago. In 2013, he published "A las 3 son las 2," a collection of short texts, and a year later came his first novel, "Sí importa el modo en que un hombre se hunde," among other works.
