A STORY OF GRIEF AND NEW BEGINNINGS AMONG THE VINEYARDS
The film tells the story of Robyn, a woman who travels to rural Spain after the tragic death of her best friend, Sophia. Looking for a way to cope with her loss, she decides to take part in the grape harvest, an experience that confronts her with physical exertion, the silence of her surroundings and the challenges of communicating in an unfamiliar language.
In this setting, the process of picking grapes and turning them into wine becomes a reflection of the protagonist’s own emotional journey. As her stay progresses, Robyn begins to find new ways to face her pain and reconnect with the world around her.
During her journey, she meets Cole, an American traveler, and forms a close bond with Eva, a young local grape picker. Both encounters will be important to her recovery and to the way she looks toward the future. The story thus combines personal drama with the rural landscape and the culture of the grape harvest.
