Ibercaja Chairman Francisco Serrano and Chief Executive Officer Víctor Iglesias hosted a gala that looked back at the bank's history while also championing its vision for the future. Those in attendance also included the President of the Government of Aragón, Jorge Azcón, and Zaragoza Mayor Natalia Chueca, along with representatives of the region's main institutions and business organizations.
The celebration combined artistic performances, conversations and audiovisual content to revisit the key milestones of Ibercaja's 150 years. Journalist Mónica Martínez and comedian, writer and illusionist Luis Piedrahita hosted the gala, which lasted around an hour and a half.
COMMITMENT TO THE PEOPLE AND GROUPS WHO NEED IT MOST
One of the night's most moving moments came when charities, social organizations and NGOs linked to Ibercaja and Fundación Ibercaja took the stage. The tribute to these organizations highlighted the bank's social dimension and its commitment to the people and groups who need it most.
During his speech, Francisco Serrano highlighted a history built on closeness and trust, as well as a commitment to people and communities. The chairman said Ibercaja is entering this new phase as an independent, financially sound and competitive project, ready to continue supporting economic and social development in the years ahead.
For his part, Víctor Iglesias emphasized the bank's financial strength and the transformation process it is undergoing, saying that Ibercaja currently has “ironclad financial health” to face the future. The chief executive also championed the customer-focused banking model and the role of employees as a fundamental part of the relationship with customers.
