Among the affected trips is an excursion exclusively for a group of 16 women organized by Viajes Mundo Actur for December. The Zaragoza-based agency has decided to suspend the tour as a precaution until the situation returns to normal and the planned routes and itineraries are fully restored.
Elisa Molina Yago, director of Agencies and Marketing at Viajes Mundo Actur, explains that "I noticed a certain nervousness among the travelers because of everything that is happening with Morocco and, for safety and peace of mind, we preferred to cancel and postpone the trip. I don’t want my clients to travel with fear or uncertainty. Morocco is a wonderful country that we love and are eager to return to; that is why we decided to leave it for later, as soon as complete normality is restored."
Travel agencies in the sector immediately activated their customer service protocols to inform travelers, offering date changes or refunds, as well as relocation to other group itineraries scheduled during the summer and autumn seasons.
