Turnover in Aragón's industry fell 3.3% compared with July 2025, according to provisional data published by the National Statistics Institute (INE). This was the sharpest decline among all Spain's autonomous communities.
ARAGÓN AT THE BOTTOM OF INDUSTRIAL TURNOVER
In fact, Aragón was one of only two autonomous communities where industrial turnover declined. The other was the Community of Madrid, with a much smaller fall of 0.3%. By contrast, sales increased in 13 communities and remained unchanged in two others. The largest increases were recorded in Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha and the Valencian Community.
Across Spain, industrial turnover rose 4.1% compared with July 2025. After excluding calendar and seasonal effects, year-on-year growth was slightly higher, reaching 4.2%.
SPANISH INDUSTRY GROWS DESPITE MONTHLY DECLINE
The month-on-month comparison, however, shows a different trend. Industrial turnover fell 1.5% from June after seasonal and calendar effects were adjusted for. Capital goods recorded the sharpest decline, at 3.8%, while durable and non-durable consumer goods posted small increases.
By market, the main boost came from sales within Spain, which grew 5.1% year on year. Transactions with countries outside the eurozone increased 2%, while turnover from sales to eurozone countries remained unchanged compared with July last year.
