The deployment will allow Spanish companies to access Snowflake’s data and artificial intelligence services with lower latency and from infrastructure located closer to them.

Snowflake sees the deployment as a strategic investment in Spain. According to José María Alonso, the company’s regional director for the Mediterranean area, it responds to growing demand for local solutions and will enable companies to work with data and AI more quickly.
The platform will also facilitate application development, the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning tools, and secure access to shared data.
AWS EXPANDS IN ARAGON
The AWS Europe (Spain) region has been operational since 2022 and has three availability zones in Villanueva de Gállego, El Burgo de Ebro and Huesca. Amazon plans to invest 33.7 billion euros in Aragon by 2035 and continues to expand its infrastructure in the autonomous community.
