It will be located at number 27 Camino de las Torres, where the new sushi buffet has opened, right across from the Boston Hotel. The venue has already been completely remodeled, its name now shines at night, and the opening date is known: October 20. This new venture promises to give a second life to a venue that was closely associated with Asian food in the Aragonese capital for years.
MORI, THE NEW SUSHI BUFFET THAT TRANSPORTS YOU TO JAPAN WITHOUT LEAVING ZARAGOZA
The new restaurant will be called Mori, and its offering will revolve around a format that is becoming increasingly popular in Zaragoza: the sushi buffet, designed for those who enjoy trying different dishes without giving up convenience. Its exterior sign advertises it as an “all-you-can-eat sushi buffet,” a formula that usually combines variety with fast service.

The venue chosen for this new opening in Zaragoza also has a history. Mori is preparing to open in the same space that housed Mr. Wok for years, another Asian restaurant that was well known in the Aragonese capital and closed in 2019. Since then, the establishment has remained inactive, and it is now reopening with a new look, a complete renovation and a concept focused on Japanese cuisine.
“Mori” means “forest” in Japanese and is a word rich in symbolism. It is written as ?? and its kanji, ?, is particularly visual because it is formed by three repetitions of the kanji for tree: ? (ki). Two trees together, ? (hayashi), mean “grove” or “small woodland,” while three together, ? (mori), form a “forest.”
WHEN DOES ZARAGOZA’S NEW SUSHI BUFFET OPEN?
The opening date for this new sushi buffet in Zaragoza has been confirmed: it will be October 20. The venue has already been remodeled, with tables and decorations visible inside, while the menu displaying the buffet’s full culinary offering is already on the door.
A free drink will be offered during the first two weeks after opening. Prices range from 17 euros for a weekday set menu to 25 euros on weekends, that is, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The return of Asian food to this part of the city confirms a clear trend: Zaragoza continues to expand its Japanese dining scene, and sushi is becoming firmly established as one of the favorite choices for eating out or having dinner.
