Zaragoza Traffic Changes: El Portillo Detours and Two Bus Route Changes

Construction of Zaragoza’s new El Portillo park will bring major traffic changes from this Friday. The City Council has announced the full opening of Escoriaza y Fabro Street, improving connections between several neighborhoods. Traffic will also change at the Anselmo Clavé intersection, requiring drivers to follow new routes.
Zaragoza Traffic Changes: El Portillo Detours and Two Bus Route Changes

Escoriaza y Fabro Street is opening along its full length with two traffic lanes, directly connecting Ciudadanía Roundabout with Santander Street and Goya Avenue. The City Council recommends that drivers traveling between the Aljafería area, Delicias and La Almozara, and central Zaragoza use this route.

One of the most significant changes affects the Anselmo Clavé intersection. From now on, vehicles arriving from Europa Square will no longer be able to continue straight along Anselmo Clavé. Instead, they will have to detour via María Agustín or José Atarés Avenue.

CHANGES TO BUS ROUTES 22 AND 31

The new traffic organization also affects public transportation. Specifically, urban bus routes 22 and 31 will use Escoriaza y Fabro Street toward Goya, taking advantage of this new connection.

These changes are part of the reorganization of mobility around El Portillo, where work continues on the construction of the new park. The aim is to facilitate travel for vehicles and public transport as transformation work progresses in this area of Zaragoza.
