Zaragoza Fairs Enter Final Stretch with Noise-Free Day as Valdespartera Silences Music and Lights for Three Hours

The 2026 Fiestas del Pilar have come to an end, but the fun continues at the Valdespartera fairgrounds, where rides, tombolas and food stalls will remain open until October 25. With the fair's final days ahead, Zaragoza is preparing for one of the most special events of this edition. For a few hours, rides will reduce their music, loud sounds and flashing lights so people with sensory sensitivities can also enjoy the fun in a calmer environment.

It is the Noise-Free Day, an initiative returning to Zaragoza's fairs for another year with the aim of making the Valdespartera fairgrounds a more accessible and inclusive space. The event is specifically designed for people with auditory sensitivities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families, who will be able to enjoy the rides without the intensity of the usual sounds and lights.

WHEN IS NOISE-FREE DAY AT THE 2026 VALDESPARTERA FAIR?

Noise-Free Day at the 2026 Valdespartera fair will take place this Thursday, October 22, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. During these three hours, rides at the fairgrounds will reduce their music, loudest sounds and flashing lights to offer visitors a calmer environment.

The aim is to remove some of the sensory barriers that can make it difficult for people with autism or hypersensitivity, particularly younger children, to enjoy the fair. This will allow them to go on the rides and enjoy the atmosphere at the fairgrounds in conditions better suited to their needs.

In addition, Noise-Free Day will coincide with the final 2-for-1 day on the rides, a promotion running from Monday, October 19, through Thursday, October 22, allowing visitors to enjoy two rides for the price of one.

FINAL DAYS TO ENJOY THE VALDESPARTERA FAIR

Noise-Free Day will take place during the final stretch of the 2026 Fiestas del Pilar, which will close their doors this Sunday, October 25, after more than two weeks of activity in Valdespartera.

This year, the fairgrounds have featured 139 installations, including 22 children's rides, 26 adult rides and seven rides with shows, as well as tombolas, game booths and food stalls. This wide range of attractions can still be enjoyed during the final days of October.

As for the schedule, on Thursday, October 22, the rides will open at 5:00 p.m. and remain in operation until 2:00 a.m., although the special Noise-Free Day measures will apply only from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Those who want to say goodbye to the fair for less money will still have one last opportunity. Popular Day will be held on Sunday, October 25, with all rides at half price. That day, the fairgrounds will be open from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to midnight, bringing the Valdespartera fair to a close until next year.
