The takeaway sushi spots thriving in Zaragoza: varied trays and addictive flavors

Sushi has found a place in virtually every neighborhood of Zaragoza. While many restaurants have embraced the buffet format, others have carved out a niche with takeaway. This simple concept gave rise to El Maestro del Sushi, a business that has continued to grow since its beginnings and now has three locations in the city.

At the helm of the project is Abel, who has successfully turned “sushi to go” into the brand’s hallmark. This formula has allowed him to expand across different parts of Zaragoza without losing the essence of its origins: that first location on Embarcadero Street, in the Casablanca neighborhood, where it all began.

EXPANSION ACROSS ZARAGOZA: THEY NOW HAVE FOUR LOCATIONS

El Maestro del Sushi continues to grow in Zaragoza and now has four locations spread across different parts of the city. They all maintain their focus on takeaway, although the Casablanca establishment, located at 30 Embarcadero Street, offers a small exception: it has a few tables and a bar for those who prefer to enjoy their sushi there.

Their expansion across the Aragonese capital has also taken them to San Miguel Market, where they have a space at stall number 18. More recently, less than a year ago, they reached the Azucarera area with the opening of a location at 30 Matilde Sangüesa Street. Their latest addition is the establishment at 5 Princesa Street, which opened its doors on July 15, 2026, further consolidating their presence in Zaragoza.

THE SUSHI SERVED IN TRAYS

Several trays stand out among their offerings and have become genuine customer favorites. One of them is the Acevichado, a 10-piece maki made with panko shrimp, avocado and a salmon or tuna topping, covered in ceviche sauce and sprinkled with shichimi togarashi, a blend of Japanese spices.

Another of their biggest hits is the Delicious, a 12-piece tray combining three varieties of maki filled with avocado, cucumber and cream cheese, topped with tuna, salmon and crab tartare.

Prices vary depending on the number of pieces and the combinations selected. The most affordable trays start at 11 euros, while mid-range options cost around 16 and 17 euros. For those looking for a more complete option or something to share, they also offer trays priced at 42 and 55 euros, with combinations that can include up to 40 pieces.
