Space Zity puts the finishing touches on its opening this Friday: here are the new features

Just two days remain before Valdespartera once again becomes one of the main hubs of the Fiestas del Pilar. Workers, fairground operators and technical teams are putting the finishing touches in place before the Valdespartera fairgrounds and Space Zity open their doors this Friday, October 9. The fairgrounds will remain open until October 25, for 17 days, while Space Zity will host its program from October 9 to 17.

At Space Zity, preparations are focused particularly on its main tent, which is 155 meters long, 55 meters wide and has a capacity of 20,000 people. Organizers describe it as “the largest in Europe,” and this year it will feature five giant screens spread throughout the venue so audiences can follow performances from different locations.

The program will once again extend to other areas of the complex. Following the success of last year’s Isla Endesa, which organizers say attracted between 4,000 and 5,000 people each night, the space has doubled in size for this edition.

FIVE TENTS WITH DIFFERENT ATMOSPHERES

This year, Space Zity will feature five tents: Zity, Zaragoza, Invernadero, El Jardín and Gastro Garden. The main tent will host the festival’s major concerts, while Zaragoza and Invernadero will extend the activity into the early hours with different parties and music sessions. Gastro Garden will be dedicated to food and will offer options for people with celiac disease, as well as vegetarian and vegan alternatives.

The Zaragoza Tent will once again host some of the festival’s special sessions. These will include the return of Coliseum on Saturday, October 10, with a night dedicated to electronic music, while the final Saturday will also see the venue host Top Hits 2000-2026, a session focused on hits from recent decades.

The Invernadero Tent will offer another line-up of nighttime programming. On Friday the 9th, it will open with Hardcore Time, a session focused on styles such as hardcore, hardstyle and hard techno, while over the following days it will continue to host musical offerings distinct from the main tent’s major concerts.

EL JARDÍN, SPACE ZITY’S BIG NEW ADDITION

The main addition will be El Jardín de Caja Rural de Aragón, a new tent designed with a different atmosphere from the rest of the venue. It will feature grass, vegetation, raised areas for relaxing and a DJ providing continuous music throughout the nights.

The aim is to offer a more relaxed space between performances. “It’s the only one that will have grass. It has grass and a zen kind of vibe,” organizers explained during a tour of the venue. Its program will begin this Friday and continue throughout Space Zity’s nine-day run.

Gastro Garden joins these four music areas as a food and drink space within Space Zity, completing a layout with different options that allow visitors to move from major concerts to nighttime sessions, rest areas or food without leaving the venue.
