The project will connect Calle Sádaba with Calle Escoriaza y Fabro, creating a new route between the Ciudadanía roundabout and Goya. Zaragoza City Council recommends this route for drivers arriving from Delicias, the Aljafería or Delicias station and heading towards Goya, the city centre or the west of the Aragonese capital.
The changes will continue two days later. On Friday, October 9, from 9:30 a.m., vehicles travelling along Paseo María Agustín from Plaza Europa will be able to turn left towards Puerta del Carmen or right towards Escrivá de Balaguer, but they will not be able to continue straight towards Anselmo Clavé.
PEDESTRIAN MOBILITY ALSO CHANGES
At the same time, Calle Madre Sacramento, which had been a dead end, will reopen to traffic and regain its connection to Anselmo Clavé. The change will improve connections between the area around Paseo de Teruel and the parallel streets and Clavé, General Mayandía and María Agustín.
Temporary pedestrian paths will also be provided through the future park area during the Fiestas del Pilar. From General Mayandía, pedestrians will be able to cross towards Escoriaza y Fabro, next to the future El Portillo station, or continue to the Zagríes roundabout. There will also be access from Escrivá de Balaguer, near Calle Trovador, allowing pedestrians to cross the future park and reach Escoriaza y Fabro directly.
