New protest in Zaragoza over Microsoft data center near Puerto Venecia
Opposition to Microsoft's planned data center near Puerto Venecia will take to the streets of the Aragonese capital once again. The Salvemos los Pinares de Venecia platform has called a demonstration for this Sunday, September 27, to show its opposition to the project and the new roads planned around the Pinares. The protest will begin at 12:00 p.m. in Plaza de las Canteras.

"Neither data centers nor roads" is the slogan chosen for a protest with which the group wants to once again highlight the impact these projects will have on the area, according to its claims. The platform has opposed Microsoft's project for months and recently submitted 349 objections to the new environmental impact assessment for the data center.
The roads planned for the Pinares de Venecia are now being added to that campaign. The group argues that their construction will further affect the area and warns that it will involve removing more pine trees. Sunday's protest therefore aims to bring together residents and groups to demand that neither project move forward, in defense of the Pinares de Venecia.
