"It is something that has always been promoted since the Zaragoza Fire Department's first intake, and we are the ones who keep it moving. All the proceeds go entirely to the three associations, and we are appealing to people's charitable spirit," one of the young firefighters selling the calendar today explained.
In addition to the photographs, this year's calendar includes a QR code linking to an explanatory video about the work carried out by the department's various sections, from rescuing people to extinguishing fires. "We believe it is something new because, as well as contributing, people can learn a little more about what we do," they acknowledged.
For those interested, the stall will be available on Calle Alfonso from Friday to Sunday until December. During the Fiestas del Pilar, it will also be set up in other locations, and the firefighters will try to take it to the "food trucks" as well. The calendar is sold in two formats: the small one for five euros and the large one for 8 euros.
