On this street, the work is entering its final phase with the widening of the sidewalk on the even-numbered side. This phase will continue until October 23 and will require the occupation of both the sidewalk and part of the carriageway toward Ángela Bravo Street, between Vía Hispanidad and the Macedonian Legion pedestrian crossing. To maintain traffic flow, one lane in each direction will be available, while access to and exit from Artieda Street will be managed alternately as the work progresses.
The Alfredo Nobel project has an investment of 250,000 euros and affects around 4,500 square meters over a distance of 250 meters. Its aim is to expand pedestrian space and improve safety, particularly around the María Inmaculada Claretianas school. The sidewalk next to the school was already upgraded before the start of the academic year, and work is now focused on the opposite side.
ROAD CLOSURES, DIVERSIONS AND MAINTENANCE WORK
But it will not be the only area affected. On Biarritz Street, between September 28 and October 2, half of the carriageway will be progressively occupied to continue replacing a pipe at number 3. Traffic toward Vía Hispanidad will be maintained, while vehicles traveling toward Navarra Avenue will be diverted via Vicente Blanco García. Parking will also be prohibited along a five-meter stretch next to the work site.
Work will also be carried out on Berenguer de Bardají Street, where final paving will take place between Montañés and Alcañiz on September 29 and 30. During the work, scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., there will be intermittent closures at the intersections with Daroca, Alcañiz and Domingo Ram, as well as on Berenguer de Bardají itself. Local Police will regulate traffic in the area.
Meanwhile, Marqués de la Cadena will see repairs to rings, covers and drains on September 28, 29 and 30, with temporary lane occupations between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. These works will be accompanied by the closure of Francisco Romero Street from September 28 to October 7 to install water and drainage connections at number 8. The street will become a dead end, and two-way traffic will be enabled from Consejo de Ciento to ensure residents can access their homes.
