The brand arrived in the Aragonese capital in late January 2025 with a concept aimed at reinventing one of the most popular fast-food dishes. During that time, the venue served kebabs, dürüms and falafel, both for eating on-site and takeaway.
A CLOSURE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE
The venue’s disappearance has surprised some customers because JEKES did not publicly announce the closure. The brand has not posted any notice on its social media accounts, nor has it issued a statement informing customers that it was ending operations in Zaragoza.

JEKES’s Instagram account no longer lists Zaragoza among its locations. Its profile currently shows three venues in the Madrid region: two in the capital and another in Majadahonda.
On Google, meanwhile, the Paseo de Sagasta venue is listed as permanently closed. For now, the brand has also not publicly explained the reasons behind the closure of the Zaragoza location.
KEBABS, DÜRÜMS AND FALAFEL
During its year and a half in business, JEKES offered a menu based on chicken and beef kebabs, as well as dürüms and falafel. Its concept stood out from other businesses in the sector because of its more carefully prepared dishes and the use of its own ingredients and sauces.
Prices were somewhat higher than those of conventional kebab shops. Main dishes cost around 10 euros, while the meal with fries and a drink came to 12.50 euros.
The venue also had a partially enclosed terrace at the kiosk itself, allowing customers to eat the products along the Paseo de Sagasta.
THE KIOSK CHANGES BUSINESSES AGAIN
JEKES’s closure marks another change of business for this distinctive space on the Paseo de Sagasta. Before the kebab brand arrived, the kiosk had housed Cartelera, another hospitality business that also eventually left the premises.
The space is now available again, pending news of which business will occupy this central Zaragoza location.
