The reopening will take place in a busy area and coincide with the busiest days of the festivities. Zaragoza City Council says the project will improve pedestrian mobility and accessibility in this central area, which is part of the comprehensive renovation also affecting the Coso.
However, the reopening will not yet mean a full return to normal traffic. The road will remain open only toward Coso Bajo, while it will stay closed in the direction of Asalto and Miguel Servet. The exact date of the pedestrian reopening will be announced in the coming days.
THE BUS STOP WILL ALSO BE BACK IN SERVICE
Another new development will be the return of buses traveling toward the Coso, which will once again stop at San Miguel Square. They will use the new shelter installed as part of the renovation, restoring this stop in a completely refurbished space.
Meanwhile, work on the Coso will continue over the coming weeks along its entire route. The city’s aim is to coordinate these works with the Pilar festivities and minimize disruption in an area that will attract a large number of pedestrians during the celebrations.
