Future Plaza Park adds well-known chain offering top brands at low prices

The former Plaza Imperial is entering the final stage of its transformation into Plaza Park Zaragoza. After months of demolition work, the project is now preparing to take its next major step: construction of the new northern area, scheduled to begin this October. The future retail park, which represents an investment of 56 million euros, has already committed 80% of its space and is entering a new phase with several confirmed brands.
Future Plaza Park adds well-known chain offering top brands at low prices

Among the latest additions is PrimaPrix, the chain specializing in leading brands at discounted prices that continues to expand its presence in Zaragoza. Its store will join the previously announced Müller, Pepco and Skechers, strengthening the future complex's retail offering and also focusing on a type of consumer increasingly interested in finding well-known products at lower prices.

THE AREA ASPIRES TO BECOME ONE OF THE CITY'S MAIN RETAIL HUBS

PrimaPrix's model differs from that of traditional supermarkets and large discount retailers. The chain bases much of its offering on leading-brand products acquired through alternative purchasing channels, allowing it to offer significant discounts and a selection that can change frequently. Its arrival at Plaza Park will also take place in a retail environment where Costco is already present, within an area that aspires to become one of the city's main retail hubs.

Construction will begin after the demolition of the former Plaza Imperial, work that has made it possible to recover and repurpose a large proportion of the old building's materials. The new Plaza Park will have more than 40,000 square meters of retail, leisure, dining and services space, as well as around 4,000 parking spaces, and is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027. The project is expected to create around 350 jobs during construction and more than 1,000 jobs once the complex is fully operational.
