Flowers and Pets Return to El Gancho Garden: Everything You Can Do at Sunday’s Market

Under the concept of creating a “temporary urban garden,” around 20 stalls—many run by florists’ associations, animal shelters and pet shops—are the main autumn attraction in Zaragoza. The innovative proposal began on September 6 at José María Forqué Square with the aim of creating a true garden in the El Gancho area.

This event, held on the first Sunday of each month during the season, aims to provide a social and economic boost to this part of the city. The new “El Gancho Garden” Flower and Pet Market returns this Sunday, October 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the second day of its first edition, following a highly successful opening.

CAREFULLY DESIGNED DECOR

To create this welcoming atmosphere, the venue features a carefully detailed design that combines a handcrafted aesthetic, with traditionally inspired wooden stalls, and abundant natural decoration made up of plants, umbrellas and textiles.

AN OCEAN OF FLOWERS

Ten florists are taking part in the market, all of them members of the Association of Florists of Aragon, alongside exhibitors offering pet food, accessories and animal wellness products.

A SPECIAL AREA FOR PETS

A dedicated, safe area will also be available, featuring exhibitors specializing in pet food, accessories, handmade products and animal wellness, as well as rest areas and water stations.

Animal shelters will also be present, selling products to raise funds, while the program will be rounded out by a DJ, floral workshops, family activities, photo spots and chess games organized by the Aragonese Artistic Association.
