El Arrabal prepares San Gregorio Square: how the works will affect traffic

San Gregorio Square in El Arrabal is entering the final stage of urban improvement works linked to the project at Tío Jorge Park. Work will intensify from Monday, October 5, to Friday, October 9, so the area can be paved, completed and fully reopened before the start of the Fiestas del Pilar.
El Arrabal prepares San Gregorio Square: how the works will affect traffic

Car traffic will have to be halted on the section of the square between Sixto Celorrio and Gracia Gazulla to carry out this work. The restriction will affect regular journeys through the area for several days, although Zaragoza City Council has prepared alternative routes to maintain access to the surrounding streets.

Vehicles coming from Valle de Broto and Paseo de la Ribera that need to reach Matheu and Blas de Ubide will be diverted via Zuriza, Sobrarbe, Paseo de la Ribera and Palencia Street. The city expects these traffic restrictions to remain in place until Friday, with traffic restored at the end of the day on October 9.

CHANGES TO TRAFFIC DIRECTIONS AND PARKING

Traffic circulation will also be temporarily modified to guarantee access for residents and local services. On the section of San Gregorio Square between Blas de Ubide and Mariano Baselga, the direction of traffic will be reversed to ensure access to Blas de Ubide. Parking will also be prohibited on both sides of the street at that point during part of the work.

Meanwhile, the section between Blas de Ubide and Gracia Gazulla will be marked as a dead end and will temporarily operate in both directions. The loading and unloading area located opposite number 7 will be temporarily moved to the space opposite number 5, next to the square.
