Changes to Bus Routes 22 and 31 Due to Portillo Works: New Routes Announced

Urban development work around the former El Portillo station will force changes to Zaragoza's urban bus routes 22 and 31 from Wednesday, October 7. The change is due to the closure of paseo María Agustín toward avenida de Goya, from the junction with Escrivá de Balaguer, and will affect both routes and some stops.
Changes to Bus Routes 22 and 31 Due to Portillo Works: New Routes Announced

In the case of route 22, buses will be diverted from paseo María Agustín via Escrivá de Balaguer, La Ciudadanía roundabout, Sádaba and Escoriaza y Fabro before rejoining their route toward Santander. The new route will maintain the connection between this part of the city and the neighborhoods on the other side of the Portillo area while the work continues.

Route 31 will also change its route from Escrivá de Balaguer. In this case, it will run via La Ciudadanía roundabout, Sádaba and Escoriaza y Fabro toward avenida de Goya, with its terminal stop at Sádaba as part of the new route established due to the work.

REMOVED AND NEWLY ENABLED STOPS

The changes also include the removal of the avenida Madrid/Aljafería stop, which serves route 31. Passengers on this route will have to use the alternative stops available along the new route while paseo María Agustín remains closed.

A new stop for both routes will be enabled at Escoriaza y Fabro number 71, serving passengers on routes 22 and 31. This will strengthen public transport coverage along the corridor used by both diverted routes.
