The decorations will consist of large three-dimensional eight-pointed stars, with a design evoking traditional snowflakes. The elements, suspended from one side of the street to the other by cables, will replace the wave-shaped illuminated structures that decorated the street during recent campaigns. In addition, the installation will feature an automated system allowing the musical shows to be scheduled regularly.
The song chosen to accompany the performances will be "Christmas Has Arrived," performed by Ozuna, Generación Escogida and Christian Nieves. The three daily shows will feature this musical performance and a lighting display, although the times at which the shows will take place have yet to be finalized.
A DESIGN ALREADY INSTALLED IN OTHER CITIES
The new stars are not an exclusive design of Zaragoza. In fact, they are the same illuminated structures that have been installed in other Spanish cities, including Huelva. The city is thus joining a lighting concept that embraces geometric motifs and shows synchronized with music.
With my friends, we can say that Christmas has arrived in our xokera city. Beautiful lights (HUELVA)???????? https://t.co/uWYuxBgba3 — Elo Dusi (@DusiElo) November 24, 2023
The renovation of the Christmas lights on this street is one of the new features of Christmas in Zaragoza this year, but not the only one. The Christmas lights switch-on, which will take place next November 27, will also bring new scenes, such as decorations on the ornamental fountain in Plaza España and a new corridor of light linking the renovated Plaza San Miguel with the Church of Santiago el Mayor.
