The complaint, which was shared in a La Jota neighborhood group on Facebook, has sparked a wave of comments from other residents, who say they are fed up and recall that this would not be the first time such damage has occurred. "The trend from a year ago of smashing car windows is back," the author of the post lamented, while other residents reacted with outrage to what happened.
The discontent is not limited to vehicles. In the comments, one resident claims that nuts are being thrown from a window on Mariano Malandia Street toward the public road at around 11 p.m. and says she has alerted the authorities on up to three occasions without receiving, in her version, the expected response. Another resident summed up the sentiment expressed in the conversation with a question: "Appalling, do they enjoy it?"
CALL FOR AN END TO THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR
The testimonies reflect the growing anger among some residents, who are calling for this kind of behavior not to become commonplace and for surveillance to be stepped up in areas where, they say, problems repeatedly occur at night.
Concern is particularly high among owners of vehicles parked on the street, who fear further damage. "What a bunch of lowlifes," another resident wrote in response to the post.
