The road remained closed as a precaution from 2:45 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. According to the Government of Aragon, which reported on the incident at the time, the flames affected around 20 hectares of scrubland and young pine forest, although the fire was brought under control that day.

Operations continued overnight. A ground unit and a water tender remained in the area to monitor the terrain. In addition, during the afternoon, the Zaragoza Provincial Council dispatched various resources to the site: an off-road vehicle from Cariñena, another from Daroca, a water tanker from Calatayud and a maintenance vehicle.

The fire also affected traffic after the A-1506 reopened. Although traffic resumed normally along most of the road, the maximum speed between kilometers 52 and 53 was limited to 40 kilometers per hour. Traffic sources said at the time that the restriction would remain in place until the following Wednesday.

The road closure and deployment of resources marked that afternoon between Azuara and Herrera de los Navarros, where the fire left around 20 hectares affected. This is how Aragón Digital reported it 10 years ago, in the original story about the wildfire and the closure of the A-1506.
