The tourist town in Teruel set to get 12 public homes to make renting easier

The Government of Aragon has awarded, through the public company Suelo y Vivienda de Aragón (SVA), the construction of 12 affordable rental homes in Albarracín (Teruel). The project is part of the “More Housing, Better Tourism” program, which aims to increase the supply of public housing in Aragonese municipalities with high levels of tourism activity.

ESFOR Project Manager, S.L. will be responsible for building these homes, with an investment of 2,394,590 euros, including VAT. Work is expected to begin in approximately one month and last 18 months, meaning the homes could be completed by mid-2028.

These homes will be intended for tourism-sector workers who need to find affordable rental accommodation. Potential beneficiaries include waiters, cooks, hotel receptionists and ski instructors. The aim is to enable these professionals to live close to their workplaces without having to spend an excessive share of their salaries on rent.
