The first will take place on September 26, when the organization holds its annual internal gathering for members. The event aims to provide a space for socializing and support for families who share a common reality surrounding congenital heart disease.
The program will include separate spaces for younger children and teenagers, as well as opportunities for families to share experiences and strengthen their bonds. The goal is to continue building a support network that enables them to face the different stages of the disease together.
MEDICAL TOYS TO HELP CHILDREN OVERCOME THEIR FEAR OF HOSPITALS
The second initiative will take place on September 30 at Miguel Servet Maternal and Child Hospital in Zaragoza, where Pequeños Corazones Aragón will donate medical toys for children receiving healthcare.
Through play, children will be able to become familiar with some of the instruments and situations that are part of their day-to-day experience in hospital. The initiative seeks to reduce their fears, help them better understand tests and treatments, and enable them to face their medical journey with greater confidence.
Through these two actions, the association wants to give World Heart Day special meaning by combining support for patients and families with raising awareness of congenital heart disease, a reality faced by numerous families in Aragón.
