After 25 editions held at the Amusement Park, the festival is moving to a new location, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Fundación Dfa. The new venue will offer an outdoor program designed to encourage participation, coexistence and interaction between people with and without disabilities.
The day will begin with a three-kilometer walk designed to facilitate the participation of people with different abilities. Registration remains open through the Fundación Dfa website. At the same time, Lucas Miret Square will become a large leisure and participation space, with adapted sports, cultural and awareness-raising activities for the whole family. The wheelchair obstacle course will also return, allowing participants to experience some of the barriers faced by people with reduced mobility firsthand.
A SPECIAL PLACE FOR SPORTS AND CREATIVITY
Sports will play a particularly important role, with adapted yoga and functional training sessions, simultaneous chess games with Cristóbal Ramo and a performance by Asociación Patinar Zaragoza, which will also invite attendees who bring their own skates to take part.
There will be plenty of room for creativity, with origami workshops from the Zaragoza Origami Museum School (EMOZ) and face painting. Entertainment will be provided by Clowntagiosos and La Mancheta, featuring itinerant circus performances and a photo booth with Star Wars characters from the 501st Legion.
Music and dance will complete the program with a performance by the group Lord Beyron and an inclusive dance showcase by Orgullo Disca, during a morning combining entertainment, participation and awareness of disability.
INCLUSION AND THE RIGHTS OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES TAKE CENTER STAGE
Alongside its festive nature, the celebration will retain one of its most significant moments: the reading of the Inclusion Manifesto by Fundación Dfa’s board of trustees and management team, accompanied by institutional representatives and political parties.
The event will serve to call for a more accessible society in which people with disabilities can fully exercise their rights and participate on an equal footing in every area of life.
In its 50th anniversary year, Fundación Dfa wants this new edition of the Inclusion Festival to be a meeting point, an opportunity to enjoy activities together and a reminder that inclusion is built by removing barriers and guaranteeing everyone’s participation. The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with free access to all activities.
