The event is organized by Cepes Aragón and will take place from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zaragoza. Attendance is open to everyone interested, although prior registration through the form provided by the organizers will be required.
The event aims to explain in practical terms what social economy can offer young people, particularly in areas such as employment, entrepreneurship, participation and the creation of initiatives with an impact. To this end, it will showcase projects already working to make this economic model more accessible and appealing to new generations.
EXPERIENCES TO BRING SOCIAL ECONOMY CLOSER TO YOUNG PEOPLE
The event will begin at 12:00 p.m. with an institutional welcome, featuring the participation of Cepes Aragón president Adrián Serrano, along with representatives from the University of Zaragoza and the Government of Aragón. The attendance of Ana Yetano, dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, and Ricardo Laborda, director general of Economic Policy, is still pending confirmation.
At 12:15 p.m., the panel discussion “How to Bring Social Economy Closer to Young People: Concrete Experiences” will take place, offering insights into initiatives related to economic activism, communication and youth participation. Participants will include Luis Esteban, from the School of Economic Activism; Marina Vargas, who manages the Guapa Lista Cooperativista profile; and Ángel Iñigo, from Salir del Bucle.
Pedro Liarte, from the School of Economic Activism in Aragón, and Alba Rodríguez Vega, deputy director general of the Technical Office of the Special Commissioner for Social Economy, will also take part. The discussion will be moderated by Pedro Ausejo, technical secretary of the Social Economy Association of Aragón, and will seek to present concrete examples of how to connect this business model with young people's concerns.
AN EVENT ON EMPLOYMENT, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND NEW GENERATIONS
The event thus aims to raise awareness among young people of a model based on business formulas and organizations within the social economy, while creating a space to discuss ways to encourage greater participation by new generations in this field.
The institutional closing is scheduled for 1:45 p.m., with the participation of Juan Antonio Pedreño, president of the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (Cepes) and Social Economy Europe. The attendance of Eva Valle Maestro, the Government of Aragón's minister for Economy, Competitiveness and Employment, is also expected, although her participation remains pending confirmation.
“Social Economy Is Youth. Make an Impact!” will take place on Friday, September 18, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Zaragoza. Those interested in attending must complete their registration in advance through the form provided by Cepes Aragón.
