Attending this event is a way to support the animal shelter and help the animals that need it most. During the morning, it will hold various activities for adults and children, as well as welcome other shelters that are travelling to Utebo.
WORKSHOPS TAKING PLACE IN THE MORNING
The shelter’s volunteers have prepared three workshops to enjoy throughout the morning. The first will begin at 10.00 a.m. and will allow attendees to make an imprint of their dog’s paw in clay. At 11.00 a.m., it will be time to get creative with a workshop for painting tote bags. Finally, at 12.00 p.m., participants will be able to design their own shrink-plastic keyrings.
To round off the event, the shelter will organize a pet contest with five different categories, open to all dogs attending the event.
TWO COMPLICATED CASES IN LESS THAN A WEEK
The shelter has taken in two complicated cases in less than a week. One of them is Atlas, a dog that had to undergo surgery on both front legs after suffering fractures in each one. The second is Fénix, a greyhound that was found after being hit by a vehicle, malnourished and with a broken leg.
By holding this event, Sonrisa Animal Utebo aims to raise funds to cover part of the veterinary costs for both operations, whose combined cost exceeds 4,000 euros.
