This is where the new Royo Villanova Hospital will be located

Zaragoza’s new Royo Villanova Hospital will finally be located on Ronda de Boltaña, as decided Thursday by the Health Council after assessing four possible sites and their respective needs. The new hospital on the Left Bank will be built near Parque Goya, between Avenida de Ranillas and Avenida de las Majas de Goya.

Among the main advantages of the site, Aragon’s president, Jorge Azcón, highlighted that it “already has the necessary infrastructure,” including connections via urban bus and tram, as well as access from the A-2 and N-330.

The drafting and tendering of the project are scheduled for early 2027. In fact, next year’s budgets include a €5 million allocation for this purpose. Azcón, who did not specify when the new hospital will be ready, hopes the building will have made significant progress before the end of the current legislative term.
