The measure will apply for the 24 hours of Wednesday, from 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., and will affect non-university public schools in Huesca province. According to the order signed by Education Minister Carmen Susín, the aim is to ensure the care and supervision of students who attend class, particularly minors, without preventing teachers from exercising their right to strike.
THESE ARE THE MINIMUM STAFFING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TEACHERS' STRIKE IN HUESCA
In nursery and primary schools, the minimum staffing requirements will consist of one member of the management team and 25% of the teaching staff. The same proportion has been established for compulsory secondary education, baccalaureate, vocational training and special-regime education schools, which must also have a member of the management team present.
In integrated nursery, primary and secondary schools, one member of the management team and 25% of the teaching staff for each educational stage must likewise be present. This proportion will also apply to special education schools and Rural Grouped Schools (CRA), which must ensure that one member of the management team is present.
Adult education centers, teacher training centers and nursery schools run by the Government of Aragon must have one member of the management team present. At Educational and Psychopedagogical Guidance Teams (EOEP), the minimum staffing requirements will be limited to one person per team.
The order also covers specific situations involving boarding schools and Rural Educational Innovation Centers (CRIE). When students are staying at the facilities or taking part in residential activities, the director or person responsible for the residence and a technical teacher or regular teacher, if available, must remain on site. At CRIE centers without residential activities, one member of the management team will be sufficient, while residential schools must retain one management representative and one teacher.
In addition, at centers operating morning, afternoon or night shifts, the established minimum staffing requirements must be guaranteed for each shift.
