In Aragon, the cold was already noticeable early this Wednesday, as, according to the Aemet, minimum temperatures of -2.4 degrees were recorded in Astún and -1 in Cerler. Values between 0 and 1 degree were reported in Torla, Panticosa and Formigal. However, maximum temperatures remain high across the region, with as many as 20.2 degrees recorded in Fraga yesterday.
The marked difference between maximum and minimum temperatures will dominate in Aragon until the end of the week. On Wednesday, maximum temperatures of between 16 and 19 degrees are expected in the three provincial capitals, while minimum temperatures will fall to 4 degrees in Teruel. In Zaragoza and Huesca, they will range between 6 and 8 degrees. However, temperatures below freezing will again be recorded overnight in parts of the Pyrenees, and precipitation will persist.
For Thursday, the Aemet forecasts a slight rise in maximum temperatures, reaching 20 degrees in Zaragoza and Teruel and 17 in Huesca. Minimum temperatures will again be particularly cold in Teruel, at 2 degrees, while Zaragoza and Huesca will record between 6 and 8 degrees. Temperatures are expected to remain stable through the weekend, with maximum temperatures beginning to rise next week.
