The Regional Government Council has approved the appointment of Pablo Arbonés Maciñeira as the new managing director of the Sociedad Aragonesa de Gestión Agroambiental S.L.U. (Sarga). He takes up the position following an open selection process to fill the leadership role at the Aragonese public company.

The appointment enables the Government of Aragon to continue completing its organisational structure. Arbonés takes charge of a company assigned to the Department of Environment and Tourism and will focus on improving the services provided by Sarga, particularly in the area of forest management.

EXPERIENCE AT A GALICIAN PUBLIC COMPANY

The new managing director holds a degree in Forestry Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and has extensive experience managing public companies. Since 2010, he has worked at Seaga, the Empresa Pública de Servicios Agrarios Gallegos, a Galician company with characteristics and functions similar to those of Sarga.

Arbonés served as Seaga's managing director until 2022 and has since been director of Administration and General Services. His experience in positions of responsibility and in duties similar to those he will now undertake in Aragon was one of the key aspects of his profile for taking over the leadership of Sarga.
