The Aragonese Health Service allocated 12,000 euros to the work, allowing the facility to reopen after several weeks of repairs. The Health Service highlighted that the intervention was completed within a short timeframe despite the complexity of the repairs and the fact that they were carried out during the summer period.
While the kitchen was closed, Miguel Servet University Hospital temporarily took over the preparation of meals for patients admitted to Nuestra Señora de Gracia. This ensured that the service continued and that menus could be adapted to each patient’s dietary and clinical needs.
The hospital management particularly thanked the Maintenance and Hospitality professionals, whose work helped speed up the repairs and restore the kitchen’s normal operation.
It also recognized and thanked the kitchen staff at Miguel Servet University Hospital, who during these weeks took on the preparation of menus for patients at the Provincial Hospital, once again demonstrating the coordination and mutual support among the healthcare centers of the Aragonese Health Service.
Today’s menu consisted of stuffed zucchini and beef stew as the standard diet. All the special diets required by patients were also prepared, including purées for geriatric diets and meals adapted to different dietary needs and prescriptions, ensuring appropriate nutritional care for every clinical situation at all times.
