The agreement includes the various wildfires recorded in Aragon and in the autonomous communities of Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, Castile and León, Catalonia, the Community of Madrid, the Chartered Community of Navarre, the Valencian Community, Extremadura, Galicia, the Balearic Islands, La Rioja and the Region of Murcia.
In Aragon, five incidents have been included on the list of 112 incidents drawn up by the Ministry of the Interior. They are the accident involving hazardous substances recorded in Barbastro in July, the Baells wildfire in Huesca in the same month, the Villafranca de Ebro wildfire, the Peñas de Riglos wildfire and the Almonacid de la Sierra wildfire. These areas have been declared severely affected.
AID
Aid already in force or to be approved in the future will cover the areas where damage resulting from the phenomena described has occurred. However, the effectiveness of the aid and recovery measures will depend on the verification of the damage and losses caused, in accordance with the procedures and requirements established for each of the relevant aid programs.
Likewise, once the central government has a more complete assessment of the damage caused, carried out in cooperation with the affected regional and local authorities, this agreement may be supplemented by additional recovery, coordination and support measures deemed necessary to help restore normality.
Specifically, all individuals or entities able to prove the damage they suffered in any of these incidents may already apply to the Ministry of the Interior’s Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Emergencies for aid intended to mitigate personal losses; damage to homes and household belongings; local government expenses; damage affecting industrial, commercial and service establishments; and losses incurred by individuals or legal entities that provided personal services and/or goods in response to the emergency.
