These grants enable town councils to organize a wide variety of educational, awareness-raising and outreach activities, ranging from photography, video and film to publications, comics and screen printing, as well as sports activities related to gender-inclusive sports, the promotion of women's sports and education aimed at preventing and eradicating acts of LGBTI-phobia. They also fund courses designed to help groups facing particular vulnerability due to gender enter the labor market, among many other initiatives.

DPZ Equality Delegate Manuela Berges highlighted that the DPZ Equality Plan “is a tool for moving toward a more equal province, ensuring that equal opportunities are present in public policies and services.” In this regard, she said that “the Provincial Council continues to work so that equality is not just a principle, but a reality reflected in concrete measures and actions that reach every municipality.”

Berges also stressed that “equality must be addressed in every area, with a particular focus on rural areas, where public administrations have a fundamental role.” “This plan reinforces the DPZ’s commitment to equality and allows us to continue promoting measures that help eliminate inequalities and build a province where everyone has the same opportunities,” she concluded.

Each town council can receive up to €7,500 in funding. The activities covered by this plan must be carried out between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026.
