The event is being held this Wednesday in Épila and is aimed at students aged 15 to 17 from secondary schools in the area. De Francisco stressed that a healthy relationship should be based on freedom, respect and listening, and recalled that equality is built “every day” through personal decisions and relationships.
HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS WITHOUT CONTROL
The IAM director argued that educating people about equality enables teenagers to recognize inequalities, prevent violence and build relationships based on respectful treatment. She also stressed that respecting a partner means respecting their personal space, decisions and freedom.
The conference is part of the regional campaign ‘#DaleUnfollowALaViolencia’, which seeks to help students identify and reject abusive or violent behavior that may occur both in personal interactions and on social networks and digital platforms.
De Francisco thanked the Valdejalón Comarca for continuing this initiative and stressed that the IAM wants to be especially close to young people, considering their involvement key to moving toward a more equal society.
