This Sunday will be a completely stable day, with clear skies and no rain in any of the three provincial capitals. Zaragoza will reach 31 degrees, Huesca 30 and Teruel 28. Minimum temperatures will also begin to recover, reaching 16 degrees in Zaragoza and Huesca and 10 in Teruel.
However, the rise will not stop there. On Monday, Zaragoza will reach 34 degrees, while on Tuesday and Wednesday Aemet forecasts highs of 35 degrees. Huesca will reach 32 degrees on Monday and 33 on Tuesday, while Teruel will rise from 29 degrees on Monday to 32 on Tuesday and Wednesday.
35 DEGREES JUST AS AUTUMN BEGINS
The figure is even more striking given the calendar. Autumn officially begins on Wednesday, September 23, at 1:05 a.m., according to the National Astronomical Observatory. That same day, Zaragoza is forecast to reach a high of 35 degrees, while Huesca will reach 31 and Teruel 32.
Aemet itself had already warned this week of “fully summery” conditions, and the forecast confirms that the heat has not yet said its final word. After the brief autumn-like spell experienced in the middle of the week, Aragon will once again see temperatures that are much more reminiscent of August than the approach of October.
And the heat will not disappear immediately. In Zaragoza, the forecast also maintains 35 degrees for Thursday, September 24, while Teruel could even reach 33. A final burst of summer that will, paradoxically, coincide with the first days of astronomical autumn.
