The initiative is now in its third year and aims to bring immunization closer to employees' workplaces. To achieve this, the vaccination team from the Occupational Risk Prevention Unit is visiting different areas of the hospital to make access easier for all professionals.
Workers can choose to be vaccinated only against the flu, only against COVID-19 or receive both vaccines during the same appointment. In addition to the usual vaccination points, the team's presence in different areas of the facility allows employees to get vaccinated without having to leave their workplace.
THE CAMPAIGN VISITS DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE HOSPITAL
After starting in the Outpatient Clinics, the vaccination campaign moved to the surgical area this Tuesday. This Wednesday it will reach the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), then continue at the Children's Hospital and end the week in the Emergency Department.
Vaccination also remains available through the Prevention Service, while the number of immunized workers continues to grow. Organizers highlighted the strong response recorded during these first days.
Maite Iguacel, a nurse with the Occupational Risk Prevention Unit, said participation increases every year and that the goal is to make it as easy as possible for professionals to protect themselves before the period of greatest circulation of respiratory viruses. Vaccination also helps reduce transmission and provides particular protection to the most vulnerable patients.
