The proposal was discussed on Thursday at a new technical meeting with INFOAR employees and civil servants, attended by the Department of Environment and Tourism and representatives of the Public Administration Department’s Civil Service division. Earlier this morning, they gathered outside the DGA headquarters, the Pignatelli Building.
MORE STAFF AND IMPROVEMENTS FOR INFOAR
The Department of Environment and Tourism announced that the €500 payment had been proposed, in line with the financial recognition agreed for SARGA’s forestry brigades for the extraordinary effort made during the 2026 wildfire campaign. The technical meeting also made progress on issues related to strengthening and improving the employees and civil servants who form part of the INFOAR operation.
The parties agreed to hold a new technical meeting on October 20. At that meeting, specific proposals will be presented for renewing the vehicle fleet used by INFOAR staff. The creation of new jobs will also be addressed, with the number to be determined based on an analysis of the operation’s needs.
