This means that the average wait to resolve dependency cases stands at 111 days (through rounding, rather than by adding the absolute figures). Aragon is the fastest autonomous community, behind only Ceuta (78 days).
EL SEMINARIO CARE HOME
At El Seminario care home, managed by the Diocese of Teruel and Albarracín and with capacity for 79 places, Nolasco praised all the work carried out over the past decade to adapt and improve the facility. This included rooms and bathrooms for assisted residents, safety measures, stairwell pressurization, the installation of a stretcher lift, the division of the home into sectors, and the renovation of the kitchen and adaptation of communal areas. He visited these spaces during Friday's tour. "It has turned out excellently. It is a very welcoming environment for older people and a great example," he said.
The care home has adapted single and double rooms, separate dining rooms for independent and assisted residents, multipurpose rooms, visitors' rooms, a garden, a chapel and other communal spaces. It also provides continuous care and assistance 24 hours a day, nursing services, medical consultations and care assistants. The works received funding of €291,924.52 from the 2022 FITE and €120,583.80 from the 2023 FITE, bringing the total to €412,508.32, excluding the investment by the Diocese of Teruel and Albarracín, which exceeded €4 million.
