After 37°C... autumn weather arrives: this is when temperatures will start to fall

The Ebro River basin could feel like midsummer today, with temperatures rising to 37°C this Friday. As a result, AEMET has issued a yellow alert in the area from 1:00 p.m. to 6:59 p.m. It is the only area where temperatures will reach such highs, although the rest of the region will also be warm. Highs will reach 34°C in Huesca and 33°C in Teruel. Overnight lows will be particularly high in Zaragoza, at up to 18°C, while they will fall to 17°C in Huesca and 12°C in Teruel.

"Temperatures will feel like midsummer, although they will fall over the weekend," AEMET explained. In Zaragoza, temperatures will drop from 37°C on Friday to 32°C this Saturday; in Huesca, from 34°C to 30°C; and in Teruel, from 33°C to 32°C. This trend will continue over the weekend, with highs of up to 32°C in Zaragoza, between 28°C and 30°C in Huesca, and up to 30°C in Teruel.

However, it will be from next week onward that maximum temperatures will begin to fall, bringing the long-awaited autumn weather for most people. The decline will be gradual, with highs of around 30°C in Zaragoza, falling below that threshold for the first time on Thursday, when temperatures will range between 28°C and 29°C. Highs will be between 26°C and 27°C in Huesca and between 27°C and 28°C in Teruel.

Rain will also reach the three Aragonese capitals in the middle of next week. The drop in temperatures is expected to be recorded well into next week.
