The defender will play in the Asian Champions League and face his former teammates Toni Moya and Sebas Moyano, both of whom are at Burinam United. At present, only Radovanovic, Guti and Paulino remain without a club after leaving the Aragonese side following its relegation.
It is certainly striking that as many as three former players from the white-and-blue club's relegation squad have moved to an exotic league rather than staying in Spain. Even more surprising is that two of them, Insua and Moyano, were signings made last season.
INSUA'S SEASON
Insua arrived in the closing stages of last summer's transfer window and, from the moment he joined Real Zaragoza, was a regular in a center-back pairing that was struggling on all fronts. The Galician was one of the few defenders who was not constantly sidelined, unlike Tachi and Radovanovic, which saw him start under all three coaches who took charge of the Zaragoza side.
The center-back made a total of 31 appearances for Real Zaragoza, receiving 14 yellow cards and one red during his time in the Aragonese capital.
