After earning promotion from Segunda RFEF last season, Roca Robles has officiated a total of 10 matches in the third tier of Spanish football: nine last season and one in the current campaign. The Murcia official was in charge of the match on the second matchday between Hércules and Atlético Madrileño, which ended in a 0-2 victory for Fernando Torres’ side.
As has been the case with all the referees who have officiated Real Zaragoza this new season, this will be the first time Roca Robles takes charge of a match involving the Aragonese club, after previously refereeing a game involving its reserve side. In 2023, the Murcia official oversaw a Valencia Mestalla-Deportivo Aragón match that ended in a 2-0 victory for the Valencia reserve side.
Joining Roca Robles for his second match of the season will be Cristian Campos and Luis López as assistant referees, with Pablo González serving as the fourth official. Real Zaragoza will be looking to secure its fourth consecutive win and extend its strong run of results.

Interestingly, Roca Robles, 29, began his refereeing career at the age of 16 after his father saw an advertisement in the newspaper for a refereeing course and encouraged him to take part. That was the start of the career of the Murcia official, who will referee Real Zaragoza for the first time this Friday.
