After being promoted from Segunda RFEF last season, Aranda Delgado has officiated a total of 14 matches in the third tier of Spanish football, including 12 last season and two in the current campaign. The referee from Málaga was in charge of Águilas' 2-2 draw with Alcorcón on the opening matchday of Group 2 and C.D. Extremadura's 1-0 defeat to Cultural Leonesa on the fourth matchday in Group 1.

In addition, his Primera RFEF record shows that only two visiting teams have managed to take all three points when Aranda Delgado was the referee. Real Zaragoza will look to add to that number with an official who, as has been the case with every referee appointed to oversee the white-and-blue side this season, will be officiating the Aragonese club for the first time in his career.

Aranda Delgado will be joined for his third match of the season by Rocío López and Jesús Rodrigo as assistant referees, with Anas Bakali serving as the fourth official. Real Zaragoza will be seeking a sixth consecutive victory in a match that could extend its impressive run of results.
