Real Zaragoza trained normally again on Thursday. Rubén Díez ‘Jamelli’ appears to have recovered from his fever. He was absent on Wednesday, but joined the session alongside the rest of his teammates on Thursday. Everything therefore points to him being able to play against Real Murcia.
The other case is Raúl Pereira. He left the match Real Zaragoza drew 4-4 with Atlético Madrileño because of cramps, and on Wednesday he only took part in the first half of the session. However, on Thursday he worked alongside his teammates during the period when the session was open to the press—around 15 minutes.
VADILLO ABSENT
Therefore, Iker Vadillo was the only absentee from the squad. The Real Zaragoza attacker is suffering from a muscular injury that has prevented him from training with his teammates. Barring a major surprise, he will not be available for this weekend’s match against Real Murcia.
He will be the only absentee if everything goes according to plan. Real Zaragoza still have two more sessions scheduled before the match against Murcia, and if nothing goes wrong, the rest of the players will be available for selection. An important match lies ahead, with top spot at stake.
Real Murcia are currently second in the table. In other words, the more players available for the cause, the better.
