Real Zaragoza's first captain, who was present at the latest match in Ibiza despite being unavailable, continues to undergo specific treatment to help him overcome the persistent lower back pain that has currently kept him away from the squad indefinitely. This continued absence will likely prevent the academy product from being available for the upcoming clash against Teruel.
The young Diego Monzón will also be unavailable for the match against the Teruel side. The midfielder, who made his official debut in the blue-and-white shirt in Ibiza, is currently with Ecuador's Under-20 national team and will be absent until October 6. That is the date on which a training camp will end, during which the Ecuadorian team will play two friendly matches against Peru.

THREE MORE SESSIONS
Meanwhile, reserve-team players Jaime Tobajas and Lucas Olmos completed the training session. The talented attacking midfielder, who has been excelling with Deportivo Aragón at the start of the season in Tercera RFEF, renewed his contract with the Aragonese club through 2030 this week and, as happened during pre-season, is becoming a regular within the first team, having already made his debut during the final stages of last season.
The most notable image from Wednesday's session came in goal, under the orders of Real Zaragoza goalkeeping coach Javi Roda. Young Olmos joined a group of goalkeepers that has grown to four with the regular presence of Westerveld, Peña and Manolache.
In this way, despite the intense match in Ibiza, Ibai Gómez has not lost any further players and can continue to count on almost his entire squad as he seeks a fifth consecutive victory this Sunday. To do so, the Aragonese side have three more sessions ahead of them—Thursday, Friday and Saturday—to complete their preparations for the match against Teruel, which will take place at 9:00 p.m. at Ibercaja Estadio.
