As the Aragonese club announced on Thursday morning, Real Zaragoza captain Ander Herrera will be out indefinitely after medical tests diagnosed him with persistent lower back pain. Unlike the rest of the week, Herrera therefore did not take to the field with his teammates and will undergo specific treatments to manage the condition.
As a result, the Real Zaragoza academy product will miss another game after sitting out the latest match against Cartagena, in an area of the field that the Aragonese side has well covered. Ibai Gómez could choose to retain in Ibiza the midfield that performed so well last Sunday against Efesé, featuring Ademo, Terrer and an inspired Rubén Díez.
A DEMANDING MATCH
With Herrera the only absentee, Real Zaragoza will travel to the Balearic Islands aiming to maintain their perfect winning record in Primera RFEF. To do so, Ibai's side will have to overcome a demanding Ibiza team that has so far won every home game, beating Rayo Majadahonda (2-1) and Sant Andreu (2-0) at Can Misses.
It is a golden opportunity for Real Zaragoza, who would secure a fourth consecutive victory by taking all three points in Ibiza and move into first place, taking the lead pending the results from the rest of the matchday.
